Overview

Comedy Clipper is a desktop application that automatically segments comedy show recordings into individual performer clips. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is handled.

Data We Collect

Comedy Clipper processes all video and audio locally on your machine. We collect minimal data:

• Google Account Information — If you connect Google Drive, we receive your name and email address to identify your account within the app.
• OAuth Tokens — Access and refresh tokens required to upload files to your Google Drive on your behalf.

How We Use Your Data

• Video/audio processing — Performed entirely on your local machine. Your recordings are never uploaded to our servers.
• Google Drive integration — Used solely to upload your generated clips to your own Google Drive when you choose to share them. We use the drive.file scope, which limits access to only files created by Comedy Clipper.
• Account info — Your Google name and email are displayed within the app so you can see which account is connected. They are not sent anywhere else.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your computer. OAuth tokens are encrypted using your operating system's secure credential storage (Keychain on macOS, Credential Manager on Windows). No data is stored on external servers.

Third-Party Services

Comedy Clipper integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google Drive API — For optional clip sharing. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any other third parties.

Your Rights & Data Deletion

You are in full control of your data:

• Disconnect Google — You can disconnect your Google account at any time from the app settings. This deletes all stored tokens.
• Revoke access — You can revoke Comedy Clipper's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Delete all data — Uninstalling the application removes all locally stored data, including tokens and processing history.

Children's Privacy

Comedy Clipper is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
